  john 10:16 - and i have other sheep, which are not of this fold; those also i must bring, and they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock, one shepherd.. setting: jesus was talking to a blind man he had recently cured and the pharisees were listening in.

  it sounds like he had a larger audience that likely included his apostles.so, who is "this fold" he was referring to and who are the "other sheep"?according to wts doctrine, the heavenly calling (covenant) had not been instituted yet.

  we don't hear about that until the last supper.

  When i came out of the organisation i started to read the bible just as it is.

  I hadn't come out, I moved countries so had no WT literature just a bible.

  I started to read it properly rather than just the WT cherry picked pre-determined key scriptures to back up their doctrines but I too saw the 2 flocks as being Jews and Gentiles.

  how do you feel about that ?were you misled (again) after all these years ?

  this article from the newspaper in the latrobe area reffering to steven unthanks case is truly disturbing.

  its an affront and an insult to any and everyone who has participated in the ministry of jehovah`s witnesses over many, many years.talk about being thrown to the wolves.how low can this organization go in saving face at the expense of those whose loyalty and devotion is discarded for a perceived image.absolutely shocking.

  I listened to the Steven Unthank interview and was shocked at this revelation.

  I do now hate the organisation.

  Although it was deemed "not in the public interest" to continue the cases just having the Watchtower spell out in a court of law in front of witnesses just how little they care about it's members, how the fds does not exist etc will all prove to be nails in the Watchtower coffin.

  i just got done listening to hsi interview on six screens.

  if any of you have any doubt about his motives and the greatness of his heroic actions, listen to the entire interview.

  it is more than 3 hours long and i believe he addresses many concerns some here have had.

  Listening to the interview with Steven Unthank and once again I am shocked once again with the duplicitousness of the Watchtower.

  If I understand correctly the Watchtower gained their charity status because of the educational work they are engaged in.

  They however do not send people out door to door, people do it individually of their own volition with no coercion from them so therefore the Watchtower are not accountable for anything an individual may do criminal or otherwise.

  it seems the british press have had their knifes out for richard dawkins.

  mostly trying to discredit him and smear his name.. his exasperated "oh god!

  Richard Dawkin's books made a lot of sense to me when I first suspected JWs were not who I thought they were.

  He made me ask myself questions about why I believed what I did.

  His explanation of the laryngial nerve in the giraffe was quite an epiphanous moment for me regarding evolution.

  I have great respect and admiration for this man who even when attacked verbally on television shows as he was last Sunday responds in a gentle and dignified manner.

  I don't always agree with his view point but I always like to hear what he has to say.

  As for the newspaper articles, after the first one about slaves the others I have seen have all been amusing parodies of that original one.

  We had a sister who inflicted her very limiting conscience on the rest of us.

  No Disney, no Madonna, no trolls, no perfume, no ankle chains, no smiley face key rings, no air freshener hanging from the rear view mirror, no colouring pencils for little ones at meetings, no sweets before or after meetings in the hall. When we got our new hall with a kitchen she believed having a cup of tea in the hall was disrespectful to jehovah. She got squashed on that one but she pretty much ruled the roost.

  To be accepted as "normal" in jdub land mentally they would need to have sex with someone of the same sex as they are in their own head?

  But to be homosexual mentally but not physically in dubby land would be acceptable!

  in my congregation i could name at least 10 brothers, and likely more, who just couldnt wait for armageddon to come.

  the way they spoke about it clearly showed that they were just so excited.

  you could just see their eyes light up at the prospect of the wicked being destroyed and removed from this earth.

  We had an elderly sister who said no-one would be allowed to sit on her sofa with a naked bottom!

  If there are sofas to sit on there will be clothes to wear and armitage shanks will still be producing porcelain, yes?
